More than 50 000 people are expected in ‘Glasgow Green’ this weekend as ‘The Glasgow Show’ and the annual ‘Lord Provost’s Pageant’ come together.

‘The Treasures of Kelvingrove’ is the theme for this year’s pageant, which will leave from George Square on Saturday 2006-07-08.

More than 400 people from schools, community and youth groups are bringing their favourite exhibits from the gallery to life in a colourful display.

‘The Glasgow Show’ features 15 themed zones with events and activities.

Lord Provost Ms.Liz Cameron said the pageant would be the best the city had seen.
