Eleven new primary schools are to be built by Glasgow City Council  at a cost of more than 83 million GBP.

They will include a ‘community campus’ at Milton — with modern sports facilities, and new sports changing rooms at a primary in Carnwadric.

All the work will be carried out between 2007-01 and 2009-03. These schools mark the fourth phase of the city’s drive to replace old schools.

All 11 two-storey primaries are identical in design — which will keep costs down.
