A man has been charged with the murder of Polish student Ms.Angelika Kluk, whose body was found in a Glasgow church.

Strathclyde Police confirmed that 60-year-old Mr.Peter Tobin was being held in connection with the death of the 23-year-old.

Ms.Kluk’s body was discovered in St.Patrick’s Church in William Street in the city on Friday, 29 September.

Ms.Kluk, from Gdansk, had been reported missing five days previously after failing to turn up for her cleaning job at the church, where she had been staying.

It was Ms.Kluk’s second summer in Glasgow, having visited Scotland the previous year along with her father and older sister Aneta.
