Nine new planets have just been discovered, and unlike the planets in our solar system, two of them are orbiting in the opposite direction to the rotation of their host star. Waitrose into Scotland 2010-04-09

Waitrose‘ has been given the green light to build its biggest Scottish supermarket to date on the outskirts of Glasgow.

The upmarket grocery chain was granted permission to build a 25 000 sq ft branch in Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire south of Glasgow. It will be almost twice the size of its recently opened store in Byres Road in the city’s west end. (more…)

Improved building standards will give Scotland some of the greenest homes in Europe, a Holyrood minister said.

Infrastructure MSP Mr.Stewart Stevenson (SNP, Banff & Buchan) hailed the new rules, which have just been published and will come into force at the start of 2010-10. (more…)
