Glasgow football club Celtic FC’s Chief Executive Mr.Peter Lawwell has branded ‘The Scottish Premier League‘ (‘The SPL’) as ‘unattractive’ but admits it is where the club must remain.

‘Homework for the under-tens is really a waste of our time’ — an article by Kristina Woolnough

A recent survey at my children’s primary school confirmed the polarised views: Some parents see homework as an opportunity to get fully involved in their child’s learning, to the extent of actually doing the work themselves. Others describe it as a gross intrusion on precious family time.

‘The Turner Prize’ comes round again. The winner will be announced next week, but there is a lot more riding on success than the 25 000 GBP prize. It is a badly managed career if the winner does not thereafter grow rich.

This could be your unlucky day. ‘Monday the 27th’ has, it seems, overtaken ‘Friday the 13th’ as the date on which the more suspicious among us should avoid the likes of job interviews, weddings and driving tests.

The date has been identified by AA Insurance as the most ill-starred on the calendar, with more mishaps recorded than at any other.
